Description
Applications built on Forge software can allow for greater levels of visibility and transparency around sustainability measures by integrating sustainability parameters—such as greenhouse gas emissions, energy efficiency, and so on—into the design-and-make process through a common data environment with 3D models. This class will introduce Forge application developers and customers to the opportunity of developing Forge applications that capitalize on the data of BIM (Building Information Modeling) or engineering models to improve outcomes along these sustainability parameters, or to make sophisticated design choices for better buildings or products with less negative environmental impact. This class will include examples of Forge for sustainability applications, case studies, industry insights, innovative ideas, and experiences from the AEC and D&M industries.
Key Learnings
- Discover best practices for using the Forge cloud development platform for applications that help with sustainability challenges
- Understand the opportunities of connecting 3D data models with sustainability parameters
- Understand the concept of using viewers and dashboards to provide insight into sustainability parameters
