Description
Architectural renderings are generally extremely time consuming and usually require high-end equipment. Learn how to take full advantage of the Nitrous Accelerated Graphics Core in 3ds Max® software for previsualization to eliminate the need to perform a rendering. In addition, see various ways to reduce render times by using fake but convincing techniques based on effective use of materials, HDR images, and compositing. In this class, we also tackle a couple of the more difficult but most often needed means of creating grass and people using Hair And Fur and the new Populate toolset in 3ds Max 2014.
Key Learnings
- Use Nitrous for previsualization
- Create materials that convincingly fake reflections and indirect lighting
- Correctly and effectively use HDR images to reduce the amount of lighting needed in the scene
- Use new features in 3ds Max Design 2014, such as Populate
