    Description

You can see plastic injection-molded parts everywhere. From the consumer products and children's toys in our homes all the way through to the interiors of the cars we drive. With the addition of injection-molding simulation tools and Product Design Extension in Autodesk Fusion 360, there’s the opportunity to take the design of injection-molded components all the way from concept through to design, manufacturing validation and tooling manufacture all without ever leaving Autodesk Fusion 360. So that's what we'll do! We'll follow the whole process from start to finish. We'll look at designing a part, designing the mold, validating the mold, cutting chips on a computer numerical control (CNC) machine to make the mold, and producing the part.

    Key Learnings

    • Learn how to design injection molding ready parts.
    • Learn about designing appropriate injection molding tooling.
    • Learn about validating injection mold tooling designs.
    • Learn about manufacturing and using injection molding tooling to produce plastic components.
