In 2015, IMI Precision launched a 5-year mission, FIX8, to fix, focus, and grow. It comprised 8 strategic enablers, including investing in group-wide IT and infrastructure, and working together as a single simplified organization. To support the FIX8 mission, there was a need to standardise our workflows globally to remove waste and increase productivity, to meet the aggressive innovation targets we had set. To achieve our goals, we partnered with Autodesk to implement Vault Professional globally, replacing our disparate systems, to create a backbone for effective data management and collaboration. This industry talk will explore the steps taken and lessons learned, through managing and implementing a global data migration program comprising of 31 sites, across 20 countries, involving a dedicated IMI Global Engineering Applications Team, Autodesk Consultancy, and 5 Autodesk Partners.
