Description
Using Autodesk Fusion software for rapid PCB design, the E-Tech team at Ford Design is creating modular system components to streamline development and reduce wiring complexity. By embracing PCB basics, design rules, and community resources, we're building reusable libraries and integrating program-specific features in our experiential properties around the globe. This approach enables faster prototyping, repeatable builds, and enhanced system continuity—with ESP32-based modules featuring Ethernet for server communication. We're focused on adaptable form factors and making PCB design accessible for makers and rapid iteration.
Key Learnings
- Learn about workflow and efficiency, including how to use PCBs to reduce wiring complexity and human error in system assembly.
- Learn about system integration, including how integrating program-specific features onto PCBs includes Ethernet connectivity for server communication.
- Learn about library and package creation, including how to develop component libraries and package in Fusion to meet design requirements.
- Learn how to make PCB design an attainable tool for makers and prototype-level builders.
