De Nora Group is a global company with two main business units: 1) electrodes—the firm is the largest provider of electrodes and coatings for electrochemical processes, and 2) water—the firm is one of the leaders in water and wastewater treatment technologies and processes for municipal and industrial applications. De Nora decided to invest in Autodesk product lifecycle management (PLM) software in order to optimize its product development processes. The firm embraced the PLM journey with Autodesk, replacing unsatisfying legacy solutions. Then the questions came: How do we successfully manage this initiative? What is the road map to deploy the PLM solution worldwide? What are the customer challenges, organizational changes, and overall benefits? And what is the best scalable architecture to satisfy a global deployment involving five plants in the United States, three in Italy, and more in the Asia-Pacific region? Join us to discover the answers to these and many more questions.

When used together, Vault Professional software and Fusion Lifecycle software provide a combined solution that is the best of all worlds for product data management (PDM) and product lifecycle management (PLM). While Vault runs on-premise to keep your CAD data safe behind your firewall, Fusion Lifecycle is cloud based for flexibility and ease of deployment. Sadly, this has made a seamless integration between the two difficult—until now. This class describes the benefits of the Vault Fusion Lifecycle Connector, including installation, configuration, and extensibility, so you can create a best-of-all-worlds solution.

This class will demonstrate the introduction of a new CAD drawing created in Autodesk PLM 360 software and the integration of Vault software and Inventor software using the Engineering Change Request lifecycle and the Engineering Change Notice lifecycles. We will also review effective practices, lessons learned, and advantages of using an integrated business system environment. We'll show a real live demonstration of Vacco Industries' Autodesk PLM 360 software configuration and we'll demonstrate the use of the PLM Connect tool (JitterBit).

In this class we discuss one customer's journey in selecting Autodesk PLM 360 cloud-based software for its product lifecycle management solution. We discuss why Autodesk PLM 360 was considered as a potential solution, explain how to create a trial tenant, explore the main themes of how Autodesk PLM 360 works, and discuss possible Vault integrations.

They say it takes people, process, and technology for any new implementation to be successful; my experience has taught me that the reality is exactly in that order. In this class, you will learn about our experiences in implementing and managing Autodesk Vault Professional software and training our staff to use it. Drawing on experiences from our implementation of Autodesk PLM 360, we will discuss Specialist Marine Interiors' experience throughout the implementation. You will hear what we have achieved and how we got there, including lessons learned and best practices. We will also cover the details of how to set up workspaces in Autodesk PLM 360, including configuration details and concepts.

Bills of materials (BOMs) serve several purposes throughout a product lifecycle. While BOM data is usually created by CAD designers and managed in product data management (PDM) systems such as Vault software, it also needs to be shared with departments outside engineering where BOM information is used for production planning, assembling, or purchasing. Each of these steps requires a different view of the same BOM. Sometimes BOMs even need to be extended with information such as "work stages" or "work orders.” Sharing and enriching BOM information is usually done in systems other than Vault, such as Fusion 360 Manage or enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems. This class will explore bills of materials and their different uses. We'll showcase different ways to share BOM data among product lifecycle management (PLM) systems, PDM systems, and ERP systems. And we’ll analyze the available APIs to help you implement BOM workflows among Vault Professional (PDM), Fusion 360 Manage (PLM), and ERP systems.

Faith Technologies Incorporated (FTI) is rapidly scaling its modular construction and manufacturing operations. But disconnected systems, manual workflows, and poor data governance created barriers to growth. In partnership with Symetri, Faith is implementing a PLM-driven digital thread connecting Vault software, Autodesk Fusion Manage, Inventor software, and architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) systems. This transformation enables centralized data, automated design-to-fabrication workflows, and enterprise collaboration. This session will explore how Faith is moving from siloed processes to a connected, scalable ecosystem to accelerate productization and support rapid growth.

Product lifecycle management (PLM) systems such as Autodesk Fusion 360 Manage software or Upchain run in the cloud while Vault software and most enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems are still installed on-premises. Hidden behind firewalls, on-premises software cannot directly receive update notifications from cloud applications, and have difficulty synchronizing with changes from cloud systems. Polling data from large data sets is time consuming and inefficient. Automated synchronization and digital transformation of data between hybrid PDM, PLM, and ERP systems require more-sophisticated solutions. This class will demonstrate how to efficiently send data from cloud to on-premise systems. We’ll use different examples to demonstrate how the Autodesk Forge Webhooks API and Autodesk Fusion 360 Manage Action Scripts are used to automatically update entities in Vault software, or how cloud PLM systems automatically send Bill of Materials (BOM) data to on-premise ERP systems without the need for the on-premise software to poll for data.

In this session, we'll explore the challenges and strategic solutions involved in the transition of the Modular Data Center from Dassault SolidWorks to Inventor software, along with the implementation of Vault PLM software and integration with Revit and Autodesk Forma. This change required us to overcome technical and operational obstacles, including compatibility with legacy data, migration of custom properties, and user adoption. We'll demonstrate how we addressed these challenges and present the gains in performance and efficiency, highlighting the advantages of a connected workflow in delivering complex projects.

Deriving a product design into a manufacturing process is a continuous challenge. Catching up with the latest design changes is often a manual and error-prone, slow process performed in the enterprise resource planning (ERP) system. With the Vault PLM solution, this process can be vastly improved as both the engineering BOM and the manufacturing BOM are accessible and linked in a single system. Workflow mechanisms help ensure that data received from engineering gets transitioned properly and extended to define manufacturing processes. The resulting manufacturing then gets published to ERP upon approval of manufacturing change orders. In this session, you will see how this process is managed in an integrated environment. We will use a custom-built smart editor to automate this process as much as possible and to provide visual indicators to help ensure a proper alignment of structures in an easy way.
