The class presents cost management strategy using web based system that includes Forge. In the system, we focused to analyze legacy project data interactively for on-going project with Machine Learning Algorithm In an attempt of 5D BIM. It supports decision-making of cost control at the initial design stage when Revit model don't have detail object for estimation. By improving quality of cost estimate in initial design stage, it is easy to manage the cost within target budget through project. We will focus on as billow; a. How to get past project data interactively through WebAPI of internal system. b. How to get and share on-going project data with "Data management API " and "Viewer" of Forge. c. Data analysis techniques for cost estimation of on-going project using "scikit-learn" that is machine learning library in Python. d. Data cycle system to improve quality of analysis, constantly. This session will explore the above technique as it has been used for actual building projects.

Skanska’s long adoption of BIM 360 Field software lets us derive new lessons using BIM 360 Insight software. Skanska was an early adopter of BIM 360 Insight, which uses machine learning to sift through thousands of data points and help project teams identify project risk factors in real time. From the perspectives of the user and developer, the presenters will discuss how Skanska and Autodesk partnered and collaborated to adapt this new technology to the industry processes and ensure its readiness for adoption across projects within Skanska. We will highlight successes as well as the challenges to presenting AI-reviewed data for action for executives and jobsites. Understanding that new tools present with new benefits and challenges, we will present best practices and lessons learned for other contractors to implement BIM 360 Insight. We will also present opportunities to expand BIM 360 Insight from the current use cases for collaboration beyond the current jobsite.

Will Plato, VDC manager at Hensel Phelps, will introduce and discuss his innovative use of construction technologies and the co-development of reality capture, computer vision, and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies. Hensel Phelps has partnered with HoloBuilder to further develop their 360-degree photo-documentation platform and solve immediate needs on projects throughout the Southwest region. Mr. Plato’s presentation will outline how Hensel Phelps has used technology to secure ROI and gain a competitive advantage; show how to successfully involve key members of the team in software development projects; and demonstrate the next-generation AI reality analytics tools that Hensel Phelps is piloting with HoloBuilder. After an initial MVP dashboard, analytics based on computer vision and machine learning were added to supplement the HoloBuilder projects. Comparing project progress ratios has helped Mr. Plato and his team apply learnings from one project to the next, and help Hensel Phelps become an even better builder.

AEC industry is getting heavy datafied and this trend will continue in the next years . Data science enables to extract knowledge of complex data for enhancing decision taking, along all project phases. This class will show how MEP engineers can enhance Dynamotized HVAC analysis by using machine learning techniques. So, the goal is to predict HVAC systems performance, when some of the design parameter inputs are unknown along design process. To be more specific, this class will cope with HVAC design calculations by integrating Autodesk Revit 2018 and Dynamo with Microsoft Power BI using R scripts. The machine learning technique shown will be supervised learning and an example of ventilation and heating systems analysis will be explored. Moreover, it will show best practices to gather BIM historical data and define the explanatory variables set needed to create machine learning algorithms. Machine learning skills are something that everyone can learn and that AEC industry needs.

Take your first steps into the world of machine learning. Learn how a neural network can be used to dramatically speed up the removal of noise in ray traced images. In this lab you will learn about noise in rendered images, use a network trained to denoise sample images, and iterate and modify parameters improving the quality of the denoiser. By the end of the lab, you will have the tools and the knowledge to build your own AI accelerated denoiser.

There's a perfect storm of technology change driving the construction revolution today. Mobile devices, Internet of Things, sensors, and drones are continuously capturing construction job-site data and the cloud is aggregating this data. Machine-learning applications such as BIM 360 IQ software help construction project teams analyze risk from this data in real time and take corrective actions. Layton Construction and Autodesk have been collaborating and working together for the past year to apply the BIM 360 IQ machine-learning system for construction safety. In this session, Cooper Darling-an assistant project manager from Layton Construction-will be sharing his project manager experiences involved in helping identify and reduce safety risks on a construction job site with the aid of assistive technologies such as machine learning. Cooper is also part of Layton's National Safety Leadership Team, and he's helping champion the processes and standards based on BIM 360 software for Layton.

This discussion will focus on CREFTS' (Corporate Real Estate, Facilities, Travel, Safety, & Security) BIM 360 Ops internal Autodesk deployment, and offer a glimpse from concept to deployment across the Autodesk portfolio. We'll review the steps taken-from planning, pilot, and deployment-and discuss our pathway to success and how we're using BIM 360 Ops software from projects to building operations. We'll share best practices, insight into rollout, and a glimpse of where we're heading with automation and machine learning.

The ability to manage risk on construction projects is using key data on practical timeframes. During this session, Justin Levine (head of risk strategy at BuildingConnected) and Pat Keaney (director of BIM 360 Enterprise Products) will share strategies for getting ahead of risk with a recurring and data-driven subcontractor qualification process, artificial intelligence, and machine learning.

Managing construction progress and safety is a visual process. How could Skanska leverage advances in artificial intelligence to save time and reduce jobsite risk on top of Autodesk’s BIM 360 platform? Skanska worked with Autodesk partner Smartvid.io to apply two kinds of machine learning to the challenges of progress documentation and Safety Risk reduction. Automated statistics were generated based on the detection of these risk factors in photos from Autodesk BIM 360 and used to benchmark project risks over time. For progress tracking, machine learning was used to analyze narrated jobsite walks and automatically generate searchable progress documentation. Photos from BIM 360 were indexed automatically, eliminating time spent on finding relevant photos and improving jobsite risk analysis. Managers could use search and collaboration features to find photos and videos by relevant tags, and share dynamic links to access them with both internal and external team members.

In this class, students will learn the basics of machine learning and how they can apply it to building design and construction. First, we'll talk about the history of machine learning and how it has been used in literature and the building industry. Then, we'll talk about some easy-to-use machine learning algorithms and try to implement them in Dynamo Studio software. This class does not require any prerequisite knowledge or skills.

What are the possibilities when we talk about IoT (Internet of Things) and BIM (Building Information Modeling)? Well, when we integrate through Forge intelligent models and Microsoft Azure IoT Hub, we can have a world of possibilities and insight with machine learning. In this lecture, you will see how data collected with BIM 360 software to make an inventory were connected with equipment in the building to monitor what was going on and make predictive analysis, in order to cut building maintenance costs. You’ll see how BIM 360 Ops software can be used to open and close maintenance tickets.
