Thanks to the existence of technologies like building information modeling (BIM), Internet of Things (IoT), and artificial intelligence (AI), there’s much that can be done to achieve a sustainable, secure, and satisfying (3S) built environment. In this session, we’ll discuss the value of having real-time digital information about our built environments in the context of the 3S approach. We’ll look at how governments can use BIM with other technologies to generate and utilize a digital twin at an urban scale, using it to support implementation of the 3S principal. We’ll look at the benefits this can offer, and analyze how it can serve humanity and enable countries to improve living standards for their communities. Smart technology has huge potential—finding the relevant applications for it to enhance society is the key. This will enable countries to deliver productive development that achieves a promising future for our nations and for future generations!
