In this session, we'll share a strategy discussion into ReCap software's new mesh workflow for creating scan-derived meshes that perform reliably in Model Coordination in Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud) and Navisworks software. Using a confidential project case study, you will see how our team processed 1 TB of scan data across 1.2 million square feet and resolved repeated model crashes that disrupted access for virtual design and construction (VDC) engineers and trade partners. By moving from Leica Cyclone 3DR to ReCap-generated meshes, we improved mesh quality, stabilized performance, streamlined scan-to-coordination workflows, and enabled automated clash detection with existing conditions for more-reliable downstream delivery.

Turning point clouds into reliable BIM inputs is still a challenge for many architecture, engineering, construction, and operations (AECO) teams. In this lab, you'll execute a complete, field-tested ReCap Pro workflow that transforms scan data into structured, interoperable mesh models ready for enhanced design and collaboration. Guided by subject matter experts, you'll apply automatic classification to generate clean meshes, standardize outputs using Template Manager, map Revit categories, and export IFC models for downstream BIM use. You'll then use these outputs as modeling references in Revit and validate them through coordination workflows in Navisworks and Model Coordination. Walk away with a repeatable, end-to-end scan-to-BIM process that reduces manual remodeling and accelerates coordination across project teams.

Laser scanning has become indispensable for capturing existing conditions, yet getting that data into Revit efficiently remains a challenge for many firms. This class will show a proven real-world workflow from registering point clouds in ReCap software to structuring and linking RCS files into Revit across a cloud-connected team in Autodesk Forma. Beyond today's best practices, we'll explore how the ReCap 2026 scan-to-segmented mesh capabilities and classification features can fundamentally transform the scan-to-BIM pipeline. As meshes increasingly replace raw point clouds as the geometry reference standard, you'll leave with both a time-tested workflow you can implement immediately and a clear-eyed view of where this technology is headed.

Join industry experts from design visualization and VFX as they explore how Gaussian Splats and solutions from Autodesk Interactive Media & Entertainment are transforming digital workflows. Learn what these techniques are, how they enable highly accurate digital twins and immersive world building, and where they fit in real-world production pipelines. Through examples and firsthand insights, speakers will share what excites them about this approach along with the practical pros, cons, and challenges of adopting it.

You own a survey-grade scanner. The point clouds it produces sit on a drive, hard to share and useless to anyone who is not a surveyor. This session will show you a different path. See how a point cloud from a Leica, FARO, Trimble, or other scanner becomes a navigable Matterport digital twin, then feeds Autodesk Forma, Revit, AutoCAD, or other design software through the integration your team already uses. You keep the hardware you bought. You make its output usable for the whole project team, not just the person who captured it. Through a live workflow, you'll see Point Cloud Import turn a raw scan into a true 3D model with scan-to-BIM and scan-to-CAD output, and where that model fits against the photo-based documentation tools you may already run. You'll leave able to map your own capture-to-coordination plan and put the scan data you've already paid for to work across design, construction, and closeout.

Tunnel rehabilitation projects lack a single, bulletproof workflow for comparing complex point cloud data with design corridors. Instead of chasing a one-size-fits-all solution, successful projects require selecting the right toolset for the specific job. This session explores the current state of the art in working with tunnel point cloud meshes using ReCap, Civil 3D, and Dynamo. Rather than presenting a single rigid path, we will dissect multiple methodologies, analyzing the practical pros and cons of each. You'll leave with a clear understanding of what is realistically possible right now, how to automate section creation, and how to select the optimal workflow to balance accuracy against automation scale.

Civil infrastructure firms manage complex portfolios across fragmented legacy environments like network drives, ProjectWise, Microsoft SharePoint, and BIM 360. Transitioning to Autodesk Forma Data Management establishes a unified, cloud-native ecosystem. But doing so at scale introduces high operational risks. How do you migrate massive Civil 3D data sets without disrupting active data shortcuts and xrefs? Where do heavy InfraWorks models and point clouds reside? What is the governance strategy for historical deliverables? This session will deliver a strategic, repeatable migration playbook engineered for complex multi-office environments. Moving beyond theory, we'll provide a tool-by-tool, phased workflow. You'll learn how to audit file dependencies across legacy storage, map structures to the Autodesk Forma architecture, and execute staged migrations that maintain business continuity. You'll leave with an enterprise decision framework and an immediate deployment checklist.

Reality capture has been in the industry since the late 1990s, evolving from its tripod-based roots to encompass many different forms of modern data capture. One could easily make an argument that reality capture has also grown from a handful of sensors to a wide variety of processes today. Regardless of where the data comes from, there has been one consistent and constant challenge that professionals still face: what to do with the volumes of data reality capture creates and how to make meaningful deliverables. This session will provide insight on how Leica CloudWorx continues to provide powerful tools for converting massive point cloud data into meaningful 3D models, 2D CAD drawings, and topographic deliverables. Furthermore, many tools in Leica CloudWorx serve as enhancements to the standard CAD tools that are in the Autodesk suite of software packages.
