The utility faces the challenge of efficiently maximizing the management of aging infrastructure in more than 50 wastewater systems in Pennsylvania alone. In 2023, Aqua contracted GHD to implement a Consolidated Planning Level Sewer Program in Pennsylvania, addressing dispersed data sources of condition assessment data and best practices for capital improvement planning at the state, regional, and local levels.
